Are pull ups bad for baseball?

Q from Larry from Toronto

My A:
Have a tendency to build up scar tissue in the rotator group which will result in a loss of velocity. Reduces arm strength (throwing) for both position players and pitchers.
To answer your question, it can be bad for baseball. Stretching after any type of lifting should be done. As the old saying goes...strength and flexibility go hand in hand.
